We recognize that there are a number of organizations, both locally in Toronto and nationally in Canada, which are aligned in many respects with our vision and mission. We realize that many of these organizations, including our Chapter, draws from the same pool of human and financial resources. Consequently, it is prudent to identify avenues of collaboration with these organizations; to synergize on items such as event‐hosting, raising awareness of health improvement, recruiting champions in healthcare and leading efforts of curriculum change.
Opportunities for Collaboration
Mutual Learning
We are always looking for speakers for our seminars and conference, healthcare champion for QI projects, and hosts of QI observerships. On the other hand, we may help to adapt IHI Open School courses to your organization. We are always open to working closely with your organization to present topics relevant to your staff and volunteer.
Cross-Promotion and Co-Hosting of Events
We run a number of events throughout the year, including our seminars and our annual Inter‐Professional Student Conference. We are always grateful to organizations which are able to spread the message about these events, and to encourage others to become interested in healthcare improvement. Through our own membership and our relationships with other organizations, we are well‐connected within the healthcare community and we are likewise willing to spread the word regarding relevant events offered by collaborating organizations.
