|On behalf of the Chapter for Healthcare Improvement at the University of Toronto (UT IHI) Leadership Team I would like to welcome all new students to the University of Toronto. I would also like to invite you along with returning students to come out and get involved in with our Chapter in 2013-2014!UT IHI was created in 2009 to serve as a local chapter for the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI), the world’s foremost organization in healthcare quality improvement, based out of Cambridge, MA. Since its inception the chapter has grown to over 200 paid members (with 800+ on our mailing list) in various programs including nursing, pharmacy, medicine, engineering, allied health sciences, health policy, management, and public health at the University of Toronto. UT IHI provides opportunities for student and professional members to network with like-minded individuals to learn about quality improvement (QI) and patient safety. Come out to a seminar, join a committee, participate in a QI project or observership, become a class rep or join our leadership team.If you are interested in improving the quality of healthcare delivery in Canada, we would love to meet you!
