Miss Dr. Matlow’s talk last month? Here it is again.

The UTIHI Open School kicked off its 2011-2012 Seminar Series last month with a lunchtime talk from Dr. Anne Matlow, Medical Director of Patient Safety at SickKids Hospital (among many other titles).

Dr. Matlow spoke on patient safety and, for 40 minutes, entertained, challenged and inspired a packed house of UofT students from many different disciplines (Medicine, Pharmacy, and Engineering to name just a few).

The UTIHI Open School extends our sincerest thanks to Dr. Matlow – and to everyone who came out to the talk – for making this kick-off event such a success. Thanks!

UT IHI Chapter spotlighted on the IHI website!

The UT IHI Open School was recently saluted by the top brass.

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement liked our new recruitment video so much that they posted it on the “Chapter Spotlight” page of its website. The spotlight also includes an interview with Valerie Mais, the mastermind behind the video and our very own QI Projects Lead.

Go here to read the full feature.

It’s nice to be noticed.
